Are some societies more likely to produce innovative entrepreneurs and engineers, and are some more receptive to new products and processes? Is it possible to use education and training to enhance creativity and entrepreneurial activity? Are there locations – cities, communities, firms – that are more attractive to creative individuals of various kinds? Everyone claims that there are relations between culture and innovativeness, but how can we understand them? These, and related, issues are explored further under this theme.
